I have over 26 years of experience as a nurse;  sixteen of those as a nurse anesthetist – caring for patients as they undergo surgery. 

Thanks to advances in modern medicine, surgery and anesthesia are safer than ever before. But I understand that almost everyone experiences some level of fear, worry, and anxiety when faced with undergoing anesthesia and going “under the knife.”
